Rush Limbaugh and Michael J. FoxHate Radio: Strong in America I've recently began talking to an old friend from high school. Evidentally, we didin't talk much about politics back then. Two people couldn't be more different in how they think about the state of world affairs. It has completely shocked me. Our discussion was about Rush Limbaugh. It started when she sent me one of his interviews. Of corse, I didn't read it. I sent her back Bill Hicks take on Rush, which I admit, is a bit extreme, but totally called for in my opinion when dealing with Rush.. Then, her response: "Really, do you really believe anything this idiot has to say?
Frankly I am one of those who has listened pretty much, I My comment to that is this: Of course I don't believe Bill Hicks. ITS A COMEDY SKETCH! Do you believe in a sence of humor? Who the hell is Steve Marlsbor...nevermind, I don't want to know. The definition of a patriot can be debated these days....ever since the Bush administration labeled everyone who was against their policies "anti-patriotic." Yes, there may be 20 million idiots in the world who listen to that the fanatic Rush, but the popular opinion isn't necessarily the best one. And finally, since when does "affluent" mean anything at all in terms of intellegence. The affluent are merely the ones (often) who vote for the policies that will allow them to keep the more of their money, which is what they care about the most. I've been wondering for some time how anyone can have totally rediculous ideology which ignores facts, I mean without being totally crazy. Is it just the money? Do they just think backwards, or what? This truely baffels me. I thought for a while to just ignore it, and not write her back. But I decided to examine the subject to get to the bottom of the "Great Limbaugh Bloe-hard issue" issue. We will begin with Rush speech, which she says is so brilliant, (along with my comments in red).
Brilliant? I don't see it. More ranting and raving and hate. Keep the hate going, Rushboy. You coul have a lot of nut cases listening to you, but there are lots of others who see right through you. I sent my friend a list of quotes from Limbaugh which would make anybody with half a gram of decency to think twice about him. I started with the Michael J. Fox episode which I thought was despicable. (That list is at the bottom on this page.). This was her responce this time:
This was so sad that I again thought about just leaving the whole thing alone. But then I became nausous thinking about this fat slob brainwashing people. So, I will now justify Michael J. Fox and expose the total concious- lacking moron that is Rush Limabugh. Below is from the Workbench: http://workbench.cadenhead.org/news/3045/rush-limbaugh-mimicked-michael-j-foxs Rush Limbaugh Mimicked Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's Disease I try not to criticize human caricatures like Limbaugh, because their shtick depends on regularly offending people. Every time a liberal blasts Ann Coulter, a cash register ka-ching goes off in her vestigial brain. But the sight of Limbaugh mocking the symptoms of a Parkinson's sufferer hits a new low. From 700,000 to 1 million Americans have Parkinson's disease, according to the New England Journal of Medicine. Add their loved ones and anywhere from 5 to 10 million people are personally affected by the disease, intimately familiar with the symptoms that Limbaugh ridiculed. As the video makes the rounds of the Internet and cable TV today, I hope that Limbaugh hears from every one of them
Let's take a look at some of the things he has said in his glorious radio show (I also sent these to my poor deluded friend): Top ten racist quotes 1. I mean, let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back; I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark. 2. You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray [the confessed assassin of Martin Luther King]. We miss you, James. Godspeed. 3. Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson? 4. Right. So you go into Darfur and you go into South Africa, you get rid of the white government there. You put sanctions on them. You stand behind Nelson Mandela — who was bankrolled by communists for a time, had the support of certain communist leaders. You go to Ethiopia. You do the same thing. (The communist connection is an old way of dealing with black leaders. They used it on Martin Luther King, they’re using it on Barack Obama and Limbaugh used it on Nelson Mandela. By siding with the racist apartheid regime over a world-wide symbol of peace and freedom, Limbaugh has shown he’s a global racist.) 5. Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it. (Limbaugh is once again fear mongering and race baiting by associating professional black athletes with criminals and gangmembers. He continues the fear mongering association of good, decent, hard working African Americans as criminals.) 6. The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies. (Now Limbaugh is saying that an organization with a storied tradition of representing the positive black people for change in their communities are criminals and rioters. An organization that has been represented by intelligent professional African Americans, that has played a part in the Civil Rights movement and continues to be an intelligent, concerned voice for the African American community is degraded to common criminals. There you go Rush. Keep racism alive!!!!) 7. They’re 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares? (Decent human beings care Rush. Someone out of that 12% may just become President of the United States. Not caring about black people? Even George Bush wouldn’t admit to that.) 8. Take that bone out of your nose and call me back(to an 9. I think the media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. They’re interested in black coaches and black quarterbacks doing well. I think there’s a little hope invested in McNabb and he got a lot of credit for the performance of his team that he really didn’t deserve. (I wasn’t super offended by this, the whole black quarterback/coach thing has been going on for years in sports, but the quote was so offensive that Retired General Wesley Clarke said: There can be no excuse for such statements. Mr. Limbaugh has the right to say whatever he wants, but ABC and ESPN have no obligation to sponsor such hateful and ignorant speech. Mr. Limbaugh should be fired immediately.) Why is he allowed to make such racist remarks ane remain in busines????) When a respected, retired general condemns the statement of a sportscaster, you know he’s gone too far. 10. Limbaugh attacks on Obama. Limbaugh has called Obama a ‘halfrican American’ has said that Obama was not black but Arab because Kenya is an Arab region, even though Arabs are less than one percent of Kenya. Since mainstream America has become more accepting of African-Americans, Limbaugh has decided to play against its new racial fears, Arabs and Muslims. Despite the fact Obama graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law school, Limbaugh has called him an ‘affirmative action candidate.’ (When did Limbaugh drop out of school?) Limbaugh even has repeatedly played a song on his radio show ‘Barack the Magic Negro’ using an antiquated Jim Crow era term for black a man who many Americans are supporting for president. Way to go Rush. Drug Quotes "And we have laws against selling drugs, pushing drugs, "When you strip it all away, Jerry Garcia Iraqi Prison Abuse Exactly. Exactly my point! This is no different than what Michael J. Fox Michael J. Fox (Parkinson's disease) Feminism Quote "Feminism was established so as to allow unattractive Homeless Quotes "One of the things I want to do before I die is conduct the And then we have just plain stupidity... "The most beautiful thing about a tree is what you
------------------ I would personally be ashamed to associate with this hate-mongler. It is frightening that so many people think he is brilliant. I wonder, is there an education system in American at all? There are way too many people running around who can't add 2+2 or know how to connect-the-dots..
